Clear Blue Sky

Every flower is a soul flourishing in name of tune. I don't really know much about flowers, does anyone know the name of this flower?

Yippie! It's summer time again! We are loving this weather, when the sun is up on the clear blue sky... Perfect weather for a beach getaways!

  5. I don't know either but there's some at the very back of our yard. Just a wild flower I guess.

  8. I believe that is a lupine. It's a biannual, which means it blooms every other year. They often grow wild along the roadside here in northern New England. There is a fantastic children's book called Miss Rumphius by Barbara Cooney that has such beautiful illustrations. It is worth reading even if you don't have children.

  14. It is lupine, indeed. The flowers of lupine are most commonly blue, pink, white and purple, and less often yellow shades. I don't know about every other year, but I do know they don't bloom the first year. They need great drainage! Pretty photo.

  15. Hi There - Your flower is definately a Lupin - we have several colours of them in early summer - such a lovely flower and they multiply too, if they like the growing conditions.
