House of flowers

Image
I was looking through the pictures of our recent trip, trying to select for a wordless shot... LOL! Flowers... are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of an house. The flower is the poetry of reproduction. It is an example of the eternal seductiveness of life.

The view of perfume capital of the world

Image
The weather had turned absolutely beautiful and the sky was gorgeous when we arrived at Grasse, France. The Grasse great view and has retained its little breadth winding streets, cobblestones, archways and medieval squares and market places. Grasse has been a popular tourist town for multitudinous centuries, with the smell of flowers and clear air, the hills behind give Grasse a fresher appealing climate than the beach during the heat of the summer. Grasse’s climate is ideal for growing delicate flowers that are some of the most in demand natural perfume ingredients. Grasse has been world capital of the perfume industry since the Renaissance and is the birthplace of painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard after whom the Fragonard Parfumerie is named.

Oldest Perfume Factory

Image
I can never do a wordless without saying something.... In our trip we decided to visit Fragonard in Grasse, France one of the largest, oldest and experienced perfumeries in the city. We got a chance to have a guided tour in fragonard factory, the rooms are glutted with a lot of extremely puissant smell. They’ve had quite a bit of practice at this industry... The historic perfume factory in the heart of the Old Town is one of the oldest in Grasse, the present premises have housed perfume making from 1782. In 1926 they took the name of Parfumerie Fragonard as a tribute to the famous painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard. One of the several things France knows how to do the best, is perfumes. Grasse is the center of the French perfume industry and is known as "la capitale mondiale des parfums" the world's perfume capital .

Weekend ram!

Image
The backdrop keeps getting a favorable provincial sense, I honestly forgot the place..... Definitely, this is already part of France... Weekend road trip was just a version of our itinerary, road narrows and tunnels through luxurious greenery... see the other posts below...... Last night, I was watching the movie clip the duet of Charice and Celine Dion at Madison Square Garden. Dream again tested that do come true... A Filipina singing sensation with powerful voice, who was discovered in YouTube.com because of her energetic singing style. After Ellen Degeneres, Oprah Winfrey, David Foster, Andrea Bocelli and now Celine Dion. I hope she continues reaching the stardom plumb and yet keeping her feet on the ground. After she performed a duet with one of her favorite star Celine Dion. I know, most of us are impressed of the talent of Charice. Just like what Celine Dion told to the audience about Charice, Charice is really wonderful. She is an incredible singer, sings in her soul, and has ...

Road trip!

Image
Although we travel by car a lot, but hubby usually drives. I had never driven international borders. I am glad I got a chance... I think I am brave enough to do it now.... Highway and freeway driving seems more disciplined and has less obstacles of traffic lights and stop signs through an intersection... Fortunately, I made an error in one intersection, we went to national road.... The more we look for beauty of nature, the more we see it...

Perfect sky!

Image
The classic way to travel around Europe is self-drive car, chance in getting our preferred stop over, I must say that these experiences was greatly different. Perfect sky brightened up our day. Most European roads and motorways are state of the art. Our first stop was in Torino, Italy we arrived around lunch time... The lunch was exactly what we wanted and everything went as planned, Hubby and I visited our friends around the place... We wanted to stay longer but our next stop was a little far to drive.... (to be continued) Motorists will be charged every time they pass through this toll gate.... arrrggh! additional travel expense(s), but toll gate helps control the volume of traffic.

Image
I can never do a wordless without saying something... I definitely cannot describe all the positively amazing things that happened. I do not have a lot of time to blog now, but I just had to say that I am back on track.... Living in Europe, it would be like vacation all the time.
