Quarantine-drink-trend “dalgona coffee”

A pinch of patience and spoonfull of laughter... We shift back to the culinary world and get on board the  Quarantine-drink-trend that's taking over Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube and Facebook. Those in quarantine have needed a new way to get their coffee  mend without having to  expose to hazard outdoor world. It’s harder to prepare a barista-hodgepodge-style without having access to ordinary consequence of espresso machine. 




And the seclusiveness appetite has a mind of its own, focuses on what’s in front of me and I can't think of a better way to ring in the whisked of quarantine-drink-trend “dalgona coffee”  with a sweet dessert like cassava “nilupak” (Filipino dessert) it was definitely worth the work!


Ingredients
2 tbsp instant coffee or espresso powder
3 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp very hot water
250ml milk

Procedure 
Add the instant coffee, sugar and hot water to a medium mixing bowl. Using an electric hand-held mixer, whip the coffee mixture until it is light brown, fluffy and holds stiff peaks when the whisk is removed.
Heat the milk, if desired, and  pour in a heat proof glass. Spoon blob of the frothed coffee mixture on top and smooth out with a spoon. Sprinkle with chocolate of your choice and  serve.
